Pt2)  They unconvincingly fake 1 of 3 emotions at any given time, except the MC though, he only gets two emotions. Depression, written by someone who has never been depressed, and teen moodiness. He is a continual sad sack, in a constant 'woe is me' mindset at all times. Even when he's angry and upset he immediately devolves into self pity. It's like the character is pretending to be suicidal to garner sympathy points. It's too bad then that every single dialog between characters is trope after trope, and the worst part is nothing they say sounds like something someone in real life would say. And the villains man, they're either really strong or absolute jobbers depending on the daily horoscope. Power levels are so inconsistent that MC can defeat one of the strongest in verse fighters only to turn around and be subdued by a gaggle of australopithecai with a shock collar. Story Pacing is nonexistent and it is trying desperately to be a dark and serious comic about self insert Chainsaw Man but ribbons, but the MC kills no one. He doesn't kill people who almost killed him, he doesn't kill a someone who killed family, the only thing he does kill is my interest. Every character is so profoundly uninteresting and and uncompelling that I was hoping for more disaster to fall on the MC just so I could get a sense of catharsis. The MC never causes anything to happen, it is a grueling 46 chapter slog of events happening to the MC and him reacting to it. Don't read this. Don't subject yourself to the brutal extermination of a good idea.
