Surviving The Game as a Barbarian
None
Read manhwa Surviving The Game as a Barbarian [By the studio that brought you !]The protagonist, Lee Hansoo, finally reached the boss stage after nine years of playing the game "Dungeon and Stone", which no one had been able to clear until now. However, just as he entered the boss room, he saw a notification alerting him that he had cleared the tutorial and that he had possessed the body of the barbarian, Bjorn Jandel, who was a playable character in the game. In the world of "Dungeon and Stone", only one city remained standing after the destruction of the world. A labyrinth would open every month, offering explorers a chance to clear it for rewards. In this world where barbarians are seen as useless in everything but battle, a barbarian who does not fight will not be able to survive. If one cannot pay the outrageous taxes demanded by the city, the only fate that awaits is a downgrade in status to a lower-class citizen'. If it is revealed that you are possessing the character you are playing, you will be named an "evil spirit" and killed. The only way for Lee Hansoo to survive is to enter the labyrinth and fight while risking his life. With the skills he has accumulated over nine years of gameplay and a stupidly strong barbarian physique, he strives to survive in this game
What are we dealing with? Action. Duh. But media transmigration action. Technically, it has gates. Technically, it is related to ORV, Solo Levelling, et milibus similia.
So here's the thing. Practically, this isn't a system shonen. I'll try to explain, since it's complicated. A system shonen has actually a complex main character, in the sense that MC is both a person AND his system. The character grows, and so does his system. They are one and the same.
Not here. Bjorn, Son of Jandel, blessed be his oily abs, is the character. He has no access to his system. He has HIS BUILD, sure. His choices. But he doesn't see the numbers. He only has what he remembers.
Because the system is with the Dungeon Master. Yeeeeeeeeeees, you understand. This is not a videogame system manga, this is a manga reproduction of A FÚCKING DND RUN! If the others are Sword Art Online, this is the gnarliest adaptation of a Dungeons and Dragons Podcast ever conceived.
In that, it is perfect. Balanced, with ironclad rules. An immaculate power system, with great ability acquisition and steady, sensible growth. Serving strong action scenes. It lacks that feel of control and OPness, but the interesting adventures suffice.
As for the technical, the art is very good. Design is a bit cartoony, but I love the Barb thicc. In all the right places... Characterization? It's good actually. When they are on screen, they are well understandable. MC is well written, overall.
But this is a harem. Screen time is rare, often squabbled on "necessary" harem dynamics. Hence, as is tradition, it starves the side cast of depth and imposes superficiality.
A 9 on the Ivern Scale™️. Honestly, cannot understand WHY they went this way for the relationship dynamics. No need, really.
The manhwa is awesome so far. Great story, decent explanations and world building, beautiful art and long chapters.
BUT !!!
Read this on a different site, i suggest asurascans. This site has some chapters from demon-something translation site that only put like 4 panels in the chapter and then tells you to go to their site to read the rest. I had to change the site like 3-4 times already so i can read the actual full chapter instead of some 4 panels.
10/10 for the manhwa so far
2/10 for reading it on this site.
The rating is low for this reason.
Update: I finished the first season. Awesome manhwa. I look forward to season 2. You should definitely read this one. Ofc... ON A DIFFERENT SITE. Unless you wanna read half chapters because of those manga demons and the people here who allows them to upload half chapters.

It will be even good if chapter released faster .
