Sucks big time on Sissy
Despite of my first (really bad) impression, I choose to give this story a second chance.
My.worst.idea.ever.
I'm sorry, really sorry because the art is amazing, but the entire story made me so angry that I would like to punch the wall until I break my bones.
Found the novel, read it, and my blood is hotter than Mauna Loa's lava. Are you looking for a story of redemption of the ML, after he tortures phisically and mentally the protagonist, reaching comprehension of other's feelings, a story of love and affection? Go away, this is not your place, believe me. Are you looking instead for a story in which the ML is a total a***ole, using power and money to erase every trace of normality in the live of the MC, because "oh, dear, that's the way he is", a story talking about a MC that become stronger than everyone, but give up to an obsession that isn't love at all, but nothing more than a criminal and psychothic attitude? Ok, you are in the right place. Enjoy. The protagonist choose a path of volunteer submission to a live of prison, in the name of a love that isn't real. No more friends, no more collegues, no more socialization because his lover is a vermin eroded by jealousy. And he is willing to live by his side, forgetting ra**, violence, kidnapping, and the total amount of deceits, agreeing to be his "wifey". In the end I really don't know who is worst, the psycho or the protagonist, the first convinced that the world should only turn as he wants, the second totally inable to cut this rotting rope.
I feel bad for the author, because despite of all the story is really well written, and I feel bad for the translator too, that made an excellent work, but I must admit this is the worst opera I've ever read that made me feel like this. No other story made me so sad and angry at the same time, never, maybe because I'm so tired of newspapers giving advice of people killed by their "supposed to be" lovely mates.
In conclusion this is a story of anti-love. A story of violence telling how it pays to be arrogant and spoiled.

Basically, it's a story of forced submission. It makes you angry because you are strong enough to see through the bull, but unfortunately, there are many people who don't and think their partners really love them and doing what they ask is a show of love in return. It's disgusting, but that's how abusive relationships work and I believe the author wanted to show that with the guilt tripping, the false words, the gaslighting and manipulation where the target is more seen as a trophy rather than anything else. That's why I love the movie Enough; she lives an abusive marriage, but for the love of herself and her daughter, she learns to fight back and fight back she does.
I'll probably read this story once it's finished and I know how it ends, because if ML gets the cake and eats it after being a complete trashbag, forget it, won't be wasting my time.
